Emily Lamb (2011) is an Environmental Studies concentrator with broad interests in Ecology and Mathematics. Emily plays an important role in the Water Hyacinth project. She's currently working with Julie to run the temperature and nutrient experiments in the greenhouse. This summer Emily will help run the mesocosm experiments at Haffenreffer Reserve and scout out invasive hyacinth populations in mid-Atlantic states.
Erica Moen (2008) is an Environmental Science concentrator getting ready to graduate! She is working with Kate on a project to assess the risk of foreign infectious disease emergence in the USA. Erica is broadly interested in environmental health, conservation medicine, disease transfer and risk assessment.
Sarah Schoenbrun (2009) is a double concentrator in Human Biology and Religious Studies. She's working on a research project involving the tropical fish trade and the potential implications trade practices may have on the spread of infectious disease to collectors and consumers. This summer, Sarah has an internship with UNAIDS in Thailand, which she hopes will inspire some concrete ideas of the kind of work or graduate education she'll pursue. Sarah loves jazz piano, which she is certain she'll continue no matter what her future holds.
